This hotel is an excellent property in an ideal location. In addition, there is a roof terrace and a quiet spacious courtyard/garden area where guests can relax in a peaceful and serene environment. The hotel also has a car park. Location The hotel is situated very close to Piazza Dell'Indipendenza and the Fortezza da Basso. It is just a ten-minute walk from Florence's principal tourist attraction, the Duomo. Distance 4 kms to the nearest airport (peretola airport) 1 km to the nearest station (santa maria novella) 4 minute walk to the nearest bus stop Close to the trade fair ground (fortezza da basso) Restaurant The hotel does not have a restaurant; however it does have a spacious breakfast room which again contains a tiled ceramic floor. It is decorated in white with wooden tables and chairs. Exterior The hotel is composed of two buildings. The original building of a Renaissance period palace was designed by the famous architect Cosimo Bartoli. The hotel contains an annex which is directly opposite the older building. Rooms in both buildings are identical in terms of standard and comfort. Lobby The lobby is large with the reception desk situated at the far end. It is furnished in a modern style, but simple.
