DAY BY DAY ITINERARY:
DAY 1 (Monday) – LISBOA
Arrival to Lisboa airport. Assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Overnight. Free time at leisure.
DAY 2 (Tuesday) – LISBOA
Breakfast and overnight, In the morning included a panoramic city tour of LISBOA, passing through the Alfama district, birthplace of St. Anthonyand once the old Moorish Quarters, the Belem Tower symbol of LISBOA and the Jeronimous Monastery. Afternoon at leisure. Possibility of an optional tour to see the 3 most visited towns on the outskirts of LISBOA, Sintra world Heritage Town, Cascais and Estoril.
DAY 3 (Wednesday) LISBOA – CACERES – MADRID
Breakfast at hotel. Departure towards the Spanish border and continue to Caceres, city proclamed World Heritage, where it’s architecture dating back from the 14 th and 16th century makes this town an unforgetable experience, one of the 3 best conserved medieval towns in Europe. Visit of the Plaza Mayor and the old medieval district. After our tour we will continue to Madrid. Overnight.
DAY 4 (Thursday) – MADRID
Breakfast and overnight. In the morning panoramic city tour where we will see Spain Square, the University Complex, the West Park , Casa de Campo, the Morish Quarters, Orient Square, Main Square, The Sun Gate , Neptune, Atocha, Alcala Gate, the Senorial Retiro Park, the Ventas Bull Ring, Columbus Square, Castellana Avenue, the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Cibeles Square and the Gran Via Avenue. Afternoon at leisure to explore Madrid or attend an excursion in the outskirts of Madrid to Toledo.
DAY 5 (Friday) – MADRID
Breakfast and overnight. Day at leisure to explore Madrid or to visit near the outskirts of the city El Escorial. Also you can attend many of the shows and musicales in Madrid.
DAY 6 (Saturday) – MADRID – ZARAGOZA – SAN SEBASTIAN
Breakfast at hotel. Departure towards Zaragoza. Free time to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of The Pilar, patroness of Hispan ity and stroll through the old streets of Zaragoza. In the afternoon we will continue to San Sebastian, its one of the most famous tourist destinations where they hold the Internation Film Festival. Panoramic city tour of this french style bourgeois city, seeing the extraordinary landscape dominated by the bay and the magnificent Conchas beach. Overnight.
DAY 7 (Sunday) – SAN SEBASTIAN – BILBAO – CASTRO URDIALES – SANTANDER
Breakfast at hotel. We will approach Mount Igueldo, to contemplate the unforgetable views of the city and then proceed towards Bilbao. Panoramic driver in Bilbao and free time on the esplanade where The Guggenheim Museum is located in order to admire this modern arquitectural building. Proceed to the old fishing village “Castro Urdiales”. Free time. Departure to Santander, its a port city located between the sea and the mountains, well known for its Sardinero Beach, one of the best known beaches in Spain. Free time to stroll through this elegant city. Overnight.
DAY 8 (Monday) SANTANDER – SANTILLANA – COVADONGA – OVIEDO
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Santillana, its one of the most important historical artistic towns in Spain. It contains architectural treasures such as the Collegiate of Santa Juiliana, a Jewel of the Romanesque Arquitecture in Cantabria. Continue to Covadonga, where you will have free time to see the Sanctuary and the Grotto where you will see the patroness of Asturias our Lady of Covadonga. In the afternoon, departure to Oviedo, where you will see on a series of hills the beauty of Saint Maria de Naranco Church, Jewel of thepre romanic asturian arquitecture. Free time to explore Oviedo, many of their streets are pedestrian, where you will be able to see World Heritage sites like The Cathedral, a splendid example of gothic asturian arquitecture. Overnight.
DAY 9 (Tuesday) OVIEDO – GIJON – CUDILLERO – LUGO
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Gijon, panoramic city tour and then proceed to Cudillero, one of the most picturesque fishin g villages in Spain. In the afternoon depart to Lugo, which holds one of the most impressive roman ramparts with a permiter of 2266 metres in circumference declared World Heritage. Overnight.
DAY 10 (Wednesday) – LUGO – A CORUÑA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to La Coruña. Brief panoramic driver through the main avenues of this fabulous town driving by the Marine Avenue to admire the elegance of this city with the typical Galician arquitecture of glass house galleries. Brief stop in one of the wonders of the world the oldest working lighthouse the “ Tower of Hercules” dating back from the roman period. Afternoon at leisure where you can assist an optional tour to the Rias Altas. Overnight.
DAY 11 (Thursday) – A CORUÑA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Santiago de Compostela declared World Heritage as it is one of the most important centre of Christian Pilgrimages in Spain as the end of the Camino de Santiago route built during the Roman Empire. City tour where we will see the main square called Obradoiro and also the Cathedral ( entrance included ) dedicated to the Apostle Santiago. Afternoon free at leisure to explore the narrow cobblestone streets and get the feel of the student atmosphere. Overnight.
DAY 12 (Friday) – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – RIAS BAJAS – LA TOJA – VIGO
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards one of the most pictureque areas of Galicia, the Rias Bajas. Driving through this magnificent landscape we will arrive to la Toja Island, universally know for its spa. Free time and continue to the Ria de Arosa, passing through Pontevedra to arrive to Vigo, situated in the middle of the Rias Baixas. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy this lively city or an optional tour to Bayona and Santa Tecla to see the old celtic remains situated on the hill of Santa Tecla and the impressive views of the Miño River and of Portugal. Overnight.
DAY 13 (Saturday) – VIGO - SALAMANCA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Salamanca following The Old Silver Route built during the roman times. On arrival free time in this world renowned city with one of the oldest universities in Europe, the magnificent Plaza Mayor, the Shells House, old and new Cathedral. Overnight.
DAY 14 (Sunday) SALAMANCA – CIUDAD RODRIGO - COIMBRA - FATIMA
Breakfast. Departure to Ciudad Rodrigo, short tour at this beautiful medieval town declared as a Historic-Artistic heritiage complex, where its walls surrounds a rich heritage of civil and religious buildings headed by its cathedral and castle. Proceeded to the Portuguese border, to continue via Guarda to Coimbra, site of one of the oldest universities in Europe and the ex capital of Portugal, with its narrow streets, houses, palaces, chapels and churches that make this city a pleasure to see. Continue to Fatima, one of the most important relgious shrines in the world after the six apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three shepherds near the Iria cave. Overninght.
DAY 15 (Monday) FATIMA - OBIDOS - LISBON
Breakfast and departure to the beautiful medieval town of Obidos, with its nice little streched streets and picturesque red-roofed white houses, sheltered by the impressive city walls. Our next stop is at Lisbon, the capital of Portugal located at the Tagus River. Overnight.
DAY 16 (Tuesday) – LISBON
Breakfast at hotel. END OF OUR SERVICES.
